Five 1719 Scouts Slated for Jamboree

Five members of Troop 1719 have qualified to attend the BSA National Jamboree in July of 2017. The Jamboree is a national and international event lasting ten days, with hundreds of activity areas and tens of thousands of youth and adult participants. Our Scouts will attend with a special troop of 36 youth and four adults who hail from the City of Philadelphia. This Jamboree Troop has been preparing for over a year. Jamboree events include zip lines, rock walls, shooting sports, SCUBA, paddle boats, robotics, stage shows, patch trading and special guests. The BSA National Jamboree is held every four years at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.
